CAT UP A TREE

This woman in England had a fluffy white cat,
She couldn't seem to find him -- up a tree was where he sat,

The lady called the Fire Brigade to get that pussy down,
Friendly firemen did their duty, then got ready to go to town,

The woman invited the crew in for some tea,
They thanked her and imbibed -- a gracious hostess she,

When they finally got going to return whence they came,
They inadvertently flattened the feline in the lane.
