At fifty years of age, I thought it would be great
To go out with my wife and try to roller-skate,
Certain the ability is one you can't forget,
I laced up the skates and around the rink I crept,
Feeling very shaky, I inched along the wall,
Completing one circuit, felt so proud I didn't fall,
My confidence was zero, yet I kept from falling down,
Until I tried to exit, then did a flip like Charlie Brown.
